SONY VAIO Laptop PCG-F350 win2k question

Hi, i tried to flash my bios to the current bios that support win2000 but i can't. Phlash2 can't open my bios image. My current bios is R0206KO. I think my bios is smaller (it either 128 or 256k) than the W2k06KO, which is 512k. How do i flash my bios? is is possible to upgrade without flashing my bios?

I tried to install win2k before and it went fine but i don't install the utilities because you said it require flashing the bios. I need the utilities to check my battery status.

Is that possible to replace the hard drive that originally is for HP laptop? Please let me know. I really appreciate your prompt respond. Thank You

Check what BIOS version you have installed. Then, go carefully over the list of problems solved by later BIOSs. If none of these is relevant for you, go ahead and install Win2000. If any is relevant (say ACPI/Win2000), you'll probably run into problems, especially with model-specific software (like for metioned utils).

I understand that laptop HDs are generic - any drive will work in any laptop. They do have a few different physical heights, but other than that, they're all the same.
