i downloading the file to update the driver for the modem in my sony vaio fx215 notebook, it starts the program fine, but then i get an error "opening file 1 failed" im guessing it "thinks" im not running the file on a fx210 or fx215, and all i could think of was maybe i needed to also do the BIOS update on sonys site, but that seems like a stretch. anyway, does anyone have or know where i can get just the .inf (or whatever file i need)for windows XP, for the context-ambit modem in this laptop, so i don't have to use the installer. thanks:disgust:
 
Your file may have just been corrupted from downloading. You should try to d/l it again. If it still doesn't work, try calling tech support to notify them of the problem and see if they have an alternative or ftp site with another copy of the file.
