I was given one of these a while ago, worked for a while and then started doing some strange things. I did as much as I could to try and find out what could be the problem but it kept coming back to it being the motherboard at fault.

Now, the issue is that it was easy taking the thing apart...(was gonna sell all the parts on ebay) May need some help putting it back together, though!

I've bought a replacement screen bezel that broke, I have a new keyboard (certain buttons wouldn't work for me before either, possibly related to the motherboard being faulty but replaced it anyway as I'm fairly confident that it was also faulty) and the replacement Sony MBX155 board that these models had.

Now, does anyone out there know where I may be able to find information on how to put all this back together?:)

This is more an idea of preperation for me as I did pay some attention when taking the laptop apart and I have a fair idea what to do but thought I'd see if anyone knew of any resources to look at that might prevent me from making mistakes.

I think the main bit I'm worried about is getting the screen and inverter all plugged up and attached to the new screen bezel and lid.The motherboard connection side of things, well I took that bit apart a few times trying to troubleshoot so I'm fairly confident I can do all that without too much of an issue, hopefully... The spare parts should arrive next week.

Anyone able to help?

EDIT Could a mod put this thread in "Computer Help"? I didn't notice it. Apologies.
