Just got back from my office depot and got the last one on clearance

Sony Trinitron 15" ES100 that I bought last year for $399

This one was $139.88 on clearance, I asked the manager when it was going down again, and he gave it to me for $80.....then I whipped out an OD coupon code and voila! $65

Your mileage may vary, good luck.
 
The ES100 used to retail for $199. I think it was the 17" that retail for aroound $300+. I have the ES100 that I haven't used for awhile since I got my Sony 18.1" LCD Panel, but still a nice monitor.
 
bah sob! i need one of these, but im not driving 85 miles to the closest office depot in baltimore nothing but damned officemax's around here!, to maybe get the deal, id ask someone to pick one up for me but shipping would defeat the purpose, so bah!

I have the Sony 18.1" LCD Panel that I haven't used for awhile since I got my 0.181 mile plasma screen, but still a nice LCD.

Do you mean that the price scans as $139.88 but the manager gave you a special personal discount or does it actually ring up at $80? Also do you happen to have the SKU? Thanks
 
Since we're talking about LCD's I just fleabayed my 15" Proview LCD.... I really needed the $$$ but I really do miss it (sigh) I'm back to the CTX 17" monitor and I feel like my eyes are going to bulge out... I never realized what a difference flat vs rounded corners meant. Color is so drab too!!!! I wish 20" flat screens were 199 already!!! How long are we gonna have to wait for that???
 
Welp, last time I checked, the 18.1 incher was around $1500, but the plasmas go for $10k even. The one thing I dont like about them is that they makem big; 42" and bigger. I would gladly pay 2-3k for a 27 inch one. But that would defeat the purpose of the crappy CRT WEGA's now, wouldnt it?
 
Sorta random question from a newbie here.. how do you whip out coupon codes to use at B&M stores? I went to a Staples recently and they mentioned they needed a printout (physical proof) of a coupon code.. so some of the codes I see on websites it seems I can only use by ordering over the phone/website.
 
Excuse me if I come off as bragging. About six month or so ago I wanted to build a kickass system. So I started with the monitor. Mmonitors tend to hold their value better than the system itself, so I decided to invest the $3G for the monitor. You can get the monitor at Fry's now for for about $2499, even cheaper on the web. In a few months when my sytem is outdated, if not already, I'll still have a kickass monitor. Well, at least that's my reasoning. BTW, LCDs are alot better for text(great contrast) but not as good for games and can't produce black as well as CRTs, same with plasma screens. Most of my time is spent on the web so it's easy on the eyes.

And LuckyDragon, if you gotta blow guys to get something then you ain't so lucky...try getting a job...easier on the mouth(j/k)
