Sony to sell 55" and 65" OLED in 2017 (lower MSRP than LG!)

$1,999 for the 55"
$2,999 for the 65"

No other details about features, but presumably they will be buying panels from LG and then doing their own thing with the internals. With MSRP being the same price as LG's sale price, hopefully this means we start to see some dramatic competition against mid and high-end LCD.

One thing of note is that Sony supports 120Hz 1080p native input on their LCD lineup unlike most other manufacturers, so hopefully they continue this trend with their OLED sets as well.

I haven't jumped on 4k yet, my last purchase was an LG 55" 9500. I think the latest LG products are as bad as Samsung, so Sony or even Leeco sounds like a good alternative now.
