I have a 2400ES, but I am vaguely familiar with the entire line.

The big appeal of this unit (and the 5400ES, IIRC) is that it has a dedicated CAT5e port that you can use to do a long run to the second zone. It is _not_ sending normal network traffic, but rather shooting raw data down the line. It's not something you'd plug into your regular data network. The other end is a special dongle/device that converts it from CAT5 to component (plus analog? *shrugs*). I think you have to buy it separately, but I don't recall it as being TOO hard to find.

Unfortunately, it only upscales to 1080i on zone 2. If it were me, I'd buy an Onkyo 875 or 876 and just get two HDMI outputs - if I need to do a run over CAT5, I'll just get the appropriate equipment.

As for DLNA streaming, honestly, you don't want that in your receiver. Buy something which was designed to do it...
