Sure, why not?

And now instead of being a brick, it only weighs 3 ounces, takes a single AA battery and lasts over 100hrs on said battery.

Would you also be surprised to learn they still make the 80486? 😛

Only mildly since I know that 80486's run military and proprietary equipment that is still in manufacture. iirc some satellites still use specially modified much older equipment as it has been modified for the harsh environment of space.

I have to wonder how much Sony is making on a 15 dollar Walkman that includes headphones. I guess they have some nostalgia over at Sony. Geez, at least put some memory in it to let you take along some mp3's

Umm, looks to me like AMAZON sells the walkman. How old are the units they have? Are they brand new or leftovers from some warehouse?

Actually, Sony does have flash Walkmans. You only looked at that one page, didnt you?

IMO 1 of the biggest corporate fuck-ups ever. they effectively had the market to themselves, and just let it die. it must rival the ibm/ms giveaway for for biggest mountain of money ignored, but still less than tesla ripping up his westinghouse contract (even without adjusting for inflation).
