Buy.com or Egghead. Sorry if it is a double post but I did serach and did not find anything about this deal. The actual price is $139.99 minus $20.00 and $30.00 rebates.
Links to rebates are posted at Egghead. Just got this drive from Egghead and it looks good. I just wonder if anybody knows who makes this drive.

Good deal for this dry season.
I bought a Spressa 8x8x32 from buy.com last Dec. with $30/$150 and after rebate about $90.

Great drive at a great price. I have the IDE version, and paid $199 on sale at CompUSA.
I have only had 1 coaster out of well over 200 burns, and that was because I was really working the computer hard at the same time as the burn. Clone-CD works 100% pefectly with this drive at max speed, (about 8 minutes), so it will copy anything. The included Spressa software works good for making data, mp3's and audio cd's as long as you take the time to figure out how to "correctly" use it.

Heck, I don't even use great media, but instead the cheap CompUSA $5 for 50cd spindles, or whatever the cheap flavor of the month happens to be. Many things can lead to a bad burn, but this drive is not one of them. (a good example is EZ CD creator works fine here, so it's not the drive).

I just got this drive from buy.com last month and I love it. It's the first burner I've ever had, and I knew very little about burning and stuff before I got it. However in the month I've had it I've burned over 50 CD's (Imation) without one coaster (that means I've never burned a coaster in my life:) )I use Nero and cloneCD only and everything burns at 8x, both audio and data. I'm happy :) If anyone's considering this drive I definitely say go for it (I paid $90 after rebate too). Oh yeah and to top it off I'm using it in a P200mmx w/ 64mb edo ram, lol.

If you can't afford Plextor/TDK or Yamaha then I would definitely jump on this. Sure it isn't the fastest, nor is it SCSI or even have "Burn Proof Technology" but it's a good solid CD-RW. I know several people who own this CD-RW and love it, only they paid $149.95 for it a few months ago.
