Sony SAL75300 Worth it?

Are the Sigma and Tamron lenses of similar quality to the Sony SAL75300 lens? Is it worth it to dish out the additional money for a sony lens? is the quality better? thanks
 
It's an OKish kit lens. If you could find an old Minolta 100-300mm APO for the same money that would be noticeably better.
The Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG MACRO is possibly a better buy but it's slightly dearer than the Sony looking at B&H.
