My first PSP had 7 dead pixels (4 white, 2 red, 1 blue), and bad trouble reading discs. My second PSP reads discs perfectly and has no dead pixels. Of course, the first one had a perfect casing and the second had a small nick in the screen plastic out of the box.

I wonder how many perfect PSPs there are out there, can't be that many...

Yeah, of the 8 LCDs I've owned, only one has had any dead pixels, and it had 2, on a 1280x1024 display.

Yes, sorry I didn't point that out, they're both launch US systems. First one was a system from the batch that didn't have the box taped shut or have the SpiderMan2 sticker on the box (although the disc was in the box), the second was from a batch that had the sticker and was taped shut.

And I work at the store this was bought from, it wasn't a case of someone opening the PSPs hence no tape - they really came from Sony untaped. We got an e-mail about it.

I havent seen a single dead pixel on any of the 100+ Dell LCD screens at the hospital where I work, or my 19in one at home.

I gotta admit, NFS4, all my LCDs from Dell, whether it's a laptop or LCD flat-panel, I've never had one with a dead pixel either!

I installed all of them. I couldn't care less if you believe me or not.

30 LCD's
1280x1024 resolution
39,321,600 pixels and not ONE bad one???

I'm not saying it's impossible, but that is crazy

my lcd doesn't have any bad pixels, neither does my laptop. or my phone.. sony is just trying to make as many as possible in a very short amount of time. and i guess yield suffers. they delayed europes launch to ensure supply for the us. so its not as if they are making too many...

Only dead pixels I have ever seen in my life were one on my Samsung 193P (1 out of 1280x1024) and 1 on my Nintendo DS, although I didn't expect to see one there.
