Sony R505 Docking station Floppy drive problem :(

I just got the docking station today. It all works apart from the Floppy Drive. The DVD rom works fine. I just stick my laptop on top and then it finds the dvd rom drive as letter *E* but I DON'T see the *A* drive appearring?

There didn't come a manual with it and I've look at the Sony Vaio website but it doesn't help me answer how to get the A drive so that it appears in My Computer so I can use iti

I thought it would just appear there like the dvd drive, but it hasn't. Am I doing something wrong here or do I need to do something to it?

ps tried to just look for it in word using A: and it didn't come up either

I think it's broken, just got mine 2 weeks ago, just plug in and it works, you can boot from it too.. check ur bios to see if floppy is listed..
