hmm, im having more fun on wipeout than i did on pgr1.
Halo though, well halo was and is the killer app on xb. Theres no halo class game on psp. gt4 and gta are strong candidates, we'll see.

Again, im glad sony decided to push whats technologically possible rather than go the safe route. I'd gladly deal with the little warts it has vs the crappy tech on the gba and ds.

As for measures of success, lets not only measure units of hw sold, but how about units of native titles sold? Dollars to donuts i bet psp has more units of software sold vs the ds. The ds' backwards compatibility actually hurts it here, mine is nothing but an expensive, bulky gba emulator at this point.

Project Gotham Racing and Madden were also launch titles that Vian missed listing. In the case of PGR it is easily better then any of the titles on the PSP as of now(I have high hopes that GT4 Mobile will bury it though).

To you perhaps, not to everyone. Reviews of current PSP racing games, and old reviews of PG dont seem to support your opinion however.

Actually, metacritic is a wash, with 85 for PGR, 88 for RR and 90 for Wipeout Pure, but it's not skewed in the other direction. However, Halo with its 97 seems to rule the day.

Sorry to raise this to the top again. A less 'crappy' thread would be nice perhaps. lol

Anyway, I picked one up at Circuity City last night alogn with Untold Legends. I got a flawless one w/no dead or stuck pixels (have checked in more than a few backgrounds). I did ask at CC first and was told I could get another one if I had any issues at all, dead pixels or otherwise, at least, so I wasn't too worried. Untold Legends is fun enough...but can't wait for more games to come out that push the hardware.

Fingerprints show up super easily though, but otherwise its great. Just need to get one of those logitech cases or something for it.

First handheld thing I've purchased since an iPod a few years ago.

Got home with the new one and again this time It had a stuck on green pixel, now I'm really pissed off and dont want to go back to the local walmart cause I'm embarrased. I'm going to walmart a couple towns over in a little while to do another exchange. Never have I had such a bad expeience with a product. I will admit though if there were no defects with the screen I would say that psp is downright amazing. For those of you who are going to tell me I sshould just deal with the defects, I think not. Its hard to enjoy a $250 "toy" that comes broken out of the box. It would be like buying a car that comes with a cracked windshield

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" waaa i have one dead pixel, I dont understand how lcd manufacturing works! "
do you realize if every lcd was pixel perfect, it would drive up the cost of these things enormously? no its not a broken windshield dude, its one pixel, its a tiny chip in the windwshield and not even that. i mean seriously if you cant deal with the way things are in the world, then go out , and test it out before you buy it. i mean of the millions of transistors on that lcd , youre complaining about one, seriously thats like complaining that one out of a million people is a criminal, what are you going to do ? return them too?

thanks for the laugh though...*Sniffle*

In my opinion, you should've just stayed at the store and done it, just as I did with my DS.

AHAHAHAHA another one! wow
"the biggest bs ive ever heard" wow dude i didnt know you made lcds for a living like sony !

Well, you got off light. I have 3 dead pixs (around the edges though, so it's not that bad) and there are 2 pieces of dust in the middle of the screen that bug the sh!t out of me. :) I'm taking this back to try and get a new one.
