Sony PCV-RS700 PSU Upgrade

So, I am at a cap with my current PC as far as the Vid Card and PSU relationship goes.

PCV-RS700

? Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with HT Technology at 3E GHz
? Microsoft Windows XP Professional
? DVD-ROM, CD-RW
? 2 GB RAM DDR-400
? 160GB hard drive
* ATI X700 xt card (swapped out stock card 2005)

As anyone who has tried to get info from Sony about their products knows, they don't give info. In fact a tech once told me in 2 back to back statements: him "...yes you made a good choice, your PC is very upgrade-able..." me "ok, can you tell me what size my PSU is and what I can do to replace it with a more powerful one?" him "We at Sony don't reccomend you change your PSU or any other internal parts." I thanked him and disconnected immediately from our chat.

Long story short, I'd like a new/semi recent Vid card when UT 2k7 comes out and will need a new PSU as my current one ( I believ it is only 250 watts) is barely handling what it's got. I can find no info at all about specs for any PSU I find. Such as http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Sony...-RS,146870923,CompatibleModelList.aspx

Any tips, advice or even sympathy would be greatly appreciated as I have been pondering this since I first changed out the Vid Card.

edit: I am new here and just recently thought I should have posted this in the Video section, figured this is more PSU related and posted here.

I'd open up the case and look at it. Hopefully there will be a sticker on the PSU with specs. Then I'd just look at it to see if there is anything proprietary about it, most likely unusual dimensions. If not, get yourself the PSU of your choice and swap it out.
