Sony P71 for 175$

They are clearancing Sony 71 cameras at Targets around here, and the guy told me that in a week they will hit 175.

3.2 Mpix, 3x Optical-2X Digital, 16 MB Memory Stick, Motion Capture

Is this a hot deal?

At $175 this is as HOT as it gets. Thumbs way up if he's right, but I have doubts. Well I'll keep a close watch at it.

Yuppers... I recall that some Staples were clearancing this too (another ATHD thread). Even with the suck@$$ slow MS, at $179?!?

It may be true. I work at a target. If there are any left at any given store, they will probably clearance to around that price sometime next week. Some items like that end up getting sent back to the manufacturer though, because its too big of a hit to sell it below cost. I know for a fact any canon camera's that the target stores have left that will not still be carried, will end up sent back to canon, and not clearanced/sold.

so its a YMMV thing.
