Sony notebook recommendation

Hey all I'm going to be buying a laptop soon and wanted to ask for some opinions. I want a laptop that will be an all around one. I will be using it for gaming and work. I play world of warcraft so yea.

I was considering the Dell 9300 with the upgraded 6800 video card and slapping a gig of ram in there from newegg if it doesn't already include it. I would also use a coupon from deals2buy or somewhere.

The catch is though that I'm wanting to look at all my options so I'm considering the Sony Vaio series. Can anyone recommend a laptop in that series that is comparable to the Dell 9300? Also where can I get coupons for the sony laptops.

The drawback is that the Sony ones are expensive and i'm trying to keep it under $1500.

I have a Dell 9300 and am very happy with it. I cant make a recommendation on sony they just dont have enough value for the prices they charge.
 
Yea I guess I knew that all along. I just see the Sony ones and wanted to hope there was a diamond in the rough there. Any other manufacterers with similar specs to the 9300?

Unless u happen to run into the greatest fortune in the world, ur not going to beat a price on a dell laptop with coupons. There are better laptops then the dell 9300, but they run about 1.5x the price. If u nudge your budget up and do a bunch of froogling, a better laptop i would recomend is the ASUS W2V. This is a awesome laptop.

IBM's will last longer and ur heart wont skip a beat if its in your bag and u drop it slightly. IBM's are built more strongly. But i dont think ibm has a 17inch wide screen yet.

Saeger laptops, are known for gaming power, but they are also quite expensive.

Stay away from sony. Read the many hate threads on sony. TRUST ME~!!
AlienWare is too expensive for what you get also. Saeger makes the same quality at nearly half the price.
