Sony Multiscan 15sf2 problems

Hmm i have an old 15 sf II too and i haven;t noticied this problem at all, however i have noticied some geometrical problems after using my Sony FD G400. Anywaz, i don't think you could fix it yourself and $200 is absurd. For $250 you could get a cheap 19" monitor, like the KDS VS-195 line

If the warranty is long gone I would phone all the monitor and T.V. repair shops in your town and find out who offers a FREE estimate.
It's possible (hopefully) that it may need only a small amount of soldering and should cost much less than 200.00 (much more if it's a gun/driver)
The old 15" Datatrain monitors were famous for losing green and all that was wrong were a few solder connections on the PCB.
