Unfortunatly, Sony doesn't thoroughly explain how their technology works or any benefit it might give. This makes me feel like I can't make a correct decision. Online information barely helps.
Anyway, I was playing with the Light Sensor 2 and figured out that turning it on can actually lower the brightness of the backlight even further than what the TV allows you to do manually. Weird huh. It's a shame that they hid the feature in the Home menu, under General instead of putting it in the Picture menu.
