Sony LCD's....

Yeah the Model SDM-X93 has decent specs but its fugly and cost too much ($720).
I would definately consider a samsung 191t for $630 or the 192t for $699 before I bought a Sony.

Ouch, any reasons you guys don't like them? I was also thinking about a Viewsonic VP191b. Being able to rotate the physical screen looked like it'd be handy for programming and such.

as much as a sony mark that i am (clie, cameras, cd players, etc), i got the viewsonic vp191b because of functionality. this was before sony came out with their 16ms response, DVI LCDs. those might be pretty decent

Sony lacks DVI and IMO the IQ just isn't as good. The Samsung 191t also pivots and is cheaper than the Viewsonic. Again if I were going to pay $700 for a monitor it would be the samsung 192t( doesn't pivot). I have the 191T and its great. I thoght I would love the pivot feature but haven't used it since my initial "cool this monitor pivots" phase. I got tired of waiting for the 192t to come out.

The new Sonys have DVI... and the older ones were actually using Philips panels... or at least mine is. 🙁 But yeah... theres better choices out there right now... 🙂
