Sony InfoLithium battery question?

Anyone know if the generic non-oem replacement infolithium batteries that you can buy on ebay, will the camera still show the time remaining left in the battery?

I do not believe they will, in fact I have heard of some Sony devices dececting a non sony battery, and shutting down right after that.

Kinda hard, but you can buy an adaptor (my sony came with one) where you can just put AAA batteries in it and plug it in.
