Sony HS94p LCD

I was just at Circuit City and they had a open box Sony xbright HS94p/s LCD. i asked how much $519.99 down from $699.99 regular price. and a refurbed one for the same price. I tried both but the refurbed one only had a 90 day warrenty from Sony but the boxed return had the full 3 year one and it looked great and I could not find anything wrong with it. I bought 🙂 the boxed version and he gave it to me for 492.00 since I was not eligable for the rebate so I used the extra money I saved for the 4 year extended warrenty where I just bring it back for 1 bad pixel and it is replaced with a new one. I did find 1 stuck pixel( blue) so I will take it to another circuit city later in the week for a brand new one.

666.00 for a 19 inch Sony no rebates involved and a 4 year instore warranty replacement not bad.😉

i'mn looking at that monitor too.... saw it at circuit city as well...

question: how is it on the eyes? ie eyestrain? i'd read a review that it was "too bright" or something and gave eyestrain....

I am thinking of either getting the hyundai or the expensive sony, but cant make up my mind

thanks for any feedback!

You can turn it down. I am having a tad bit of trouble getting it to my liking as it is to bright or to dull or contrast is not right just have not had time to set it up right yet. It seems like a lot of little dots not a totally smooth screen when here typing.

That's because the dot pitch on 19" lcd screens is a whopping 0.294mm

The price you pay for only having 1280x1024 on a screen that large....

There is no settting that is going to fix that...

This monitor may not be right as it is bright from the center down and the top is ok. If you look at a yellow web page it is dark yellow at the top and washed out bright white from the center down and the same way on boot as the black is dark at the top and whited from the middle down.

The blue on this page behind the post typing is almost white it is so brite.
