Sony HDTV question

Anyone know what the difference is between the KP46WT510 and KP51WS510 ???? Obviously one is 46" and the other is 51" but why "WT510" and "WS510" ???? Is there any difference at all???

I actually like the way the new KP 510 series look. Panasonic is out of the question--I think HD image quality is too fuzzy without messing around in the service menu. I looked at the Hitachi TVs and would prefer to buy that instead of the Sony (afterall, Sony uses Hitachi's tubes), but it looked like the Sony produced a better image (except for the 4 corners).

Anyway, can anyone answer my question?

Over the weekend, I picked up the KP51WS510... It is an amazing TV, with incredible picture quality. I think it's the best picture that I've seen, short of a DLP.

But to answer the initial question... I don't know. They seem to have the exact same feature sets.

Sony makes some of the best TVs, but they're just a tad overpriced at times.

I agree. Do not buy a Sony TV.

The Hitachi 51SWX20B will destroy the Sony. Hitachi sells the CRTs used in these TVs to other companies like Toshiba and Pioneer. Rather than just going by name brand or even what we here on ATOT say, try avsforum.com. There are lots of guys there that own these TVs who can tell you their strengths and weaknesses.

I've seen the Hitachi in action vs all the other RPTV and it was hands down the best one. The Sony was decent but more expensive. After my terrible experiences with Sony though, I would never consider one again. I recently fell in love with the Panasonic PT 50LC13 50" LCD RPTV and have my sights set on that. Some guys on that forum have said they were able to get it for as little as $2k from retail of $3K.
