I just built a new system and used Win Xp Pro x64 edition. I have a Sony Handycam DCR-HC40 camera which I used to use via usb streaming for webcamming via Skype to let the grandparents see their grandson. Now, the Sony USB driver doesn't work because it is not x64 compatible and Sony has no updated driver available. Is there any workaround to get this to work? The camera does get recognized via firewire, but does not work with Skype through this connection. Are there any full screen (and free) video conferencing programs out there that can recognize this connection and provide a decent quality?
