I hadn't heard anything about this. I just happened to check my inbox after firing up my PS3 for the first time in quite a while and was a little suspicious of a message from the PSN. After doing a little research, I accepted the code and $10 was added to my wallet. Somehow I made the cut as a loyal PSN user, lol. I might have played a total of 50 hours this entire year.
 
To be honest this probably hurt more than helped. I just signed up for PSN+ a month ago, and have been buying quite a few games for my Vita. I know it doesn't make any logical sense why I'm irked I wasn't included, but I am for some reason and won't forget it. The Vita didn't sell very well yet I am one of the few proud Vita owners, but that's not loyal enough I guess. If they just said "We're giving away free PSN credit to 5000 lucky users" I probably would just curse my bad luck and move on, but they went out of their way to say it was for loyal customers.
 
I'm not sure why I was selected. It must be at random. I don't have ps+ and I've only purchased 1 game from the store in the last year. I rent a movie every now and then, but that's about it.
 
I got mine a few days ago. I've had PS+ since inception have have bought a lot from the store but it really seems to be random.
 
I got one, but the e-mail says that I get it through a message box on my PS3. Where exactly do I see this? Is it a message sent through PSN or some weird box that will pop up the next time I turn my PS3 on? I did notice that my downstairs PS3 was turned on this morning for some reason, but when I checked the console, it was just sitting at the XMB. Chances are I accidentally hit the bluetooth remote because hitting what seems like any button on the remote will turn the PS3 on. :\

There's been message box on your PS3, it's in the same area that shows your friends.
 
Sony is also doing a promo where you spend $50 from now till end of March (I think?) you get $10 back in your PSN wallet. They said that if you buy a $49.99 year of Playstation Plus it will count for the money back. So essentially you can get Playstation Plus for 15 months instead of 12 (till March 4th) and $10 back in your PSN wallet if you buy it right now, hell of a deal, and if you got the free $10 an even better deal.
 
Well, despite having a PS+ account for a year and spending hundreds of dollars on the PSN I am not classified as a "loyal" customer. lol Yeah, I have 4 PS3's and buy games off the store for all of them, so I could see why they wouldn't consider me loyal since I have multiple accounts and systems. /sarcasm

Would have been nice to put that $10 towards the Walking Dead season pass, oh well. I probably won't be playing modern video games anymore once the next generation hits, due to the market scamming these companies are trying to pull, anyways.
 
I did not get one, and I'm both a PS+ member and have purchased games from the Playstation store. In fact, the PS3 is pretty much the only console I game on anymore. Guess I'm not loyal enough.
 
I'm guessing that it's either random, or maybe they're giving it to people that recently signed up for PlayStation Plus? I'm tempted to just buy another year of it, but with the looming PS4, which may include multiple tiers of subscriber status, I would hate to spend the money and get locked into a lower set of bonuses that I would desire later on.

I would buy a Vita if it had more than one game I wanted to play. Spending $400 to play Hot Shots Golf is not something I want to do, but I am mad that game isn't out on PS3 yet.
 
I just spent $60+ on a BO2 season pass and the Walking Dead SP and still haven't got my $10 I'm supposed to get from that deal. Typical.
 
Good to know, thanks. I'm just so used to getting ripped at this point I guess it's made me a touch cynical.
 
at least you guys can even get on the ps store to buy stuff! i haven't been able to access it for almost a week now.

Wow, I wonder if it has to do with the new updated style they put in a little bit ago? I can't stand the store the way it is now and really enjoyed the way it used to be before the last update.
 
sony has a magical way about them of screwing things up and just pushing out hardware/software to keep up with the 360. They should take there time and just dominate microsoft I hate microsoft. I didn't have a $10 in my box either and was a beta tester for home and bought it on and off since it's release.
