Ok that's it, I'm buying it. I don't care if it's sane or not. I want it so bad.

Just be sure you have a friend to help you get it into your room.

My dad will help.

Did you get it from azatek?

And I've heard it has convergence problems, is this true?

man you guys are crazy. I couldnt stand all that radiation coming from that big ass tube.
It's SO worth the immersion though! It's not like I don't already have a big tumour already in my brain, thanks to the almost infinite hours I've spent in front of CRTs since I was 10.

It has a slight warp in mine but it is hardly noticable and I think it might be something that most if not all of these types of monitors exhibit. I have a 21" Sony G520 as well and after looking at it again I can see a bit of an arch as well but maybe never noticed it since I wasn't running at as high of a resolution as on this one. One thing, though, not all games support widescreen resolutions, for instance I cannot seem to find a way to get The Sims 2 to display in a widescreen format. But other than that I think it is most defintely worth every penny, there is so much room to work with.

Oh, and yes I bought it from azatek.com.

I just picked up a widescreen dell 2005fp. Gives me plenty of immersion and doesnt waste space or burn my brain out lol.

I want this monitor too, but it's sooooo much money.

I'm thinking about the NEC FP2141SB, it has superbright mode, which makes games look so freakin awesome, it's unreal.

If a game doesn't support widescreen, it can be formatted for 4:3 ratio on this monitor, right?

Ummm, it's perfectly safe to stare at a CRT for long periods of time. Radiation is the last thing anyone should worry about with a CRT.

Yes but it would be nice to view it in widescreen. At 1600x1200 the image is slightly stretched.

When you say "it has a light warp", how big is it? From the pictures, it looks to me as if it's a very slight curve from one end of the screen to the other. Is that what you're talking about?

I just bought one from ebay for $450.00 plus $100.00 shipping, it will probably be a couple of weeks before I get it though 🙁
