Sony G520 flickers

I just bought a sony G520 and I noticed that the letters and edges of windows will often flicker. It isn't the entire screen but just individual letters. I tried returning it and getting another monitor but the same thing still happens and the letter will still flicker. Currently I have the refresh rate set at 100 mhz at 1164. I have a Radeon 64 ddr vivo running XP. Could I have a bad video card or are there setting that I could play with that would eliminate the flickers.

First of all degauss the monitor (demagnetize). Second, if that does not help, lower the refresh rate from 100 to 85 Hz and see what that gives. 85 Hz is the same on eye as 100 Hz, so do not bother much.

its the radeon, if i used them more im guess i could tell you you exactly, but i am almost positive the latest version of radeon tweaker will have a check box wich will sovle your problem.

I have a 19inch G400, and had problems with the font's and what looked like I could see the pixels refresh in the fonts..........I have a geforce 2 PRO. It even happens when I turn on my monitor when it's not plugged into my video card and it said "no input" the letters in "no input" had a wavy pixels. So i sent it back to sony a week ago and don't know what's up yet. Are your problems like mine? Try my unplugging it from the videocard and looking at the "no input" letters.
