i though this is a good price for a flat screen monitor... especially from sony. what u guys think?

Looks good! $119 for Flat Screen is not bad. Although I'd like better a 17 in. than a 15 in.

You can get the KDS AV-7TF 17 inch monitor, which use the same Trinotron tube for 160 + shipping.

You can price match this monitor and get it for something around $80 after coupon. Thats what my friend paid. Not sure where he pmed, but look around.

got the kds av-7tf from sam's klub for 199.98+taxes=214.98, n i really like this monitor..btw, does the rebate apply for the kds if u bought the monitor either from sam's klub or staples???on the rebate form, it said purchase the kds av-7tf from micro center..does this effect the rebate @ all..thanks

I just used the pm with sams, and a 40 off 200- and by the way, the CSR said that the coupon i used was sent only to people with staples cards, so be wary. he finally let mine go through.

FYI for the non-techies out there:

This is a flat screen monitor, not a flat panel monitor. 15" flat screens are the same physical size as a normal 15" but it gives you a little more viewable area and less glare. It's not a bad buy for a Sony(especially if you can find it for $80), but a 15" screen is still way too small for everybody but the newest newbie. I'm up to a 19" NEC and even that is getting too small.

One of my friends has had one of these monitors for a few years. It's small, but Sony quality This would be great for a someone's second system or for the kids.
