My Sony flat panel monitor SDM-S73 won't light up. When I first turn it on, I have a picture, then it flickers and goes black. Turning it off and on will allow it to work again, but only for a few seconds.

My question is this, could this be the backlight and if so can I fix it? I really like this Sony and dont wanna replace it if I don't have to.
 
Call Sony and ask them. And if your experience with them is anything like mine, then good luck.

Then next time buy a Samsung.
