Hello Video buffs. I really would like a flat monitor for college, to save space and move easily. I work at a bestbuy and my discount lets me pick up the sony M51/B for about $470, which seems like a good deal. However, I can also get the samsung 570V for about $360. I really enjoy the quality of the sony, and it seems like a great display. Should I care about the lack of DVI on it? My video card does not have that capability anyway, but in the future.... I heard that DVI is uglier than analog. I currently have a 17in non-flat generic .27 monitor, and this seems like a logical upgrade, considering that the viewable surface is about the same size... I dont use 1600 by 1200 anyway, 1024 by 768 is my preferred. What would you all do? should I be looking at other monitors, mayeb that BB doesn't carry (NEC, KDS)? BB also carries the following low cost models:
Viewsonic VG150
Samsung 570S (how is this different?)
Am I paying for the speakers that I don't need? Lemme know, and thanx in advance
