sony ericsson = piece of sh**

had the t68i, loved the size, color screen, menus, options....everything. after a month, the goddamn phone started dropping calls, stopped making calls - from locations that i previously had no problems. i went an entire week without being able to get through more than 15 seconds of a call. sent it to sony ericsson three times - never fixed the problem. 6 months later i switched phones. now i have the t616. awesome features, size...overall beautiful. if i were to design a phone, it wouldn't be much different than this one. but guess what? i can't f**king make any calls. it's a $300 paper weight as far as i'm concerned. it'll be working fine all day, then out of the blue it'll decide that it doesn't feel like completing any calls. f**king great.

sony ericsson's design plan:
let's make a line of telephones that look great and have some of the best features in the market. let's also make it so that you can't make any phone calls. f**k you sony.

T68i has reception issues,

not too sure on the other phone you are talking about

My T300 works great.

The battery life is actually good and holds decent reception

had the t68i w/ tmobile. then tried the t616 w/ AT&T and gave up after a week. i'm now using the t616 w/ cingular. there's just no winning here. i was previously convinced that the problem was w/ the provider, but now i'm convinced that sony ericsson can't make cell phones worth a sh*t.

people at howardforums.com actually say the T610 is comparable in reception to the Nokias. Maybe flush your phone to the newest firmware.

the reception is great......when the phone is working properly. but for whatever reason, i'll sometimes make a phone call in an area where i'll have a full signal. then, within a second or two of dialing the number, my signal will start oscillating between no signal and full signal. the call drops a few seconds after. this will happen for an unspecified amount of time, after which i'll be able to send and receive calls normally.

I just got the T616, so I've done quite some research about it. The new firmware (R1B I think) solves the fluctuating signal bar problem and makes the menu faster. People claim that it also improves reception but no one has come up with hard data to confirm this. The firmware upgrade costs 25 dollars. A lot of people seem to be very happy with them to get firmware upgrades

f**k that. i'm not paying for a firmware upgrade to fix problems in the phone. does microsoft charge us for windows updates? SE better do it for FREE and pay for overnight shipping to and from their location. either they do or the phone is going back to the store and i'm never buying another SE product again.

Who is your carrier? Most people seem to be very happy with their phones. You might have got one of the first batch whch seem to be buggier. If you can return the phone by all means do it. You prolly got a lemon and it has happened to me with Nokias. I personally hated the T68 but I like this one so far.

I don't have ANY problem with my T600. If you really believe that sony ericsson makes crappy phones then buy a different brand.

I get this too with my Sony Ericsson, but it's a cheaper model....t206 now that I look. I'll be getting a full digital signal, all of a sudden it's gone. No signal at all. Half an hour later, full signal.

Yeah... T68's reception SUUUUUCKS. I love the look and features... but damn so useless. If I didn't have a blue tooth headset, I'd switch.

Funny my T300 works really well, even in the city where T-Mobile doesn't work too well (supposedly, I get full bars almost everywhere)

My t68i sucks ass. Reception is horrible and I can't stand the buttons. I have to use the T68I because I cousin borrowed my Nokia 8890. I am hating every second of it.
