Ressurrecting a bit of an older thread, but there's good info in this thread that is good to keep around.

Today on Engadget there's a blurb that the Xperia is now rumored to launch in mid-Sept. 2008.

While we're sure there's at least a few folks that'll be pleased to hear that Sony Ericsson's eagerly-anticipated XPERIA X1 will launch with Handango's InHand service on the device, we're guessing there's a tad more people that'll be interested in the other little detail revealed in the company's recent newsletter: that the X1 will apparently be launching in mid-September.

Sony Ericson needs to make CDMA 2000 EV-DO phones dammit! Have they ever even touched CDMA networks in general? It would be a dream to have an SE phone on Verizon. Some of the phones that I think have the best designs are from them.

I think SE abandoned their CDMA division in 2005. They made CDMA phones up until then.
