What time did it turn 12:01am 7/4 in Japan? Maybe they turned it off globally once it was July 4th there.

Yay! I think I'm just going to get SSD HD rather than try and decide between that and WipEout. It seems like WipEout would be more fun in multi-player anyway.

EDIT:

Hmm, apparently, Sony has not worked out some of the kinks in their system. I played the SSD HD demo and decided I wanted that over WipEout. I chose the game, it downloaded the full version, and refused to install, because the demo was a newer version than the full version. Oh well, just have to download the 250MB patch again after deleting the demo and installing the full game.

Good move, Sony. The whole point of this *PROMOTION* was to build good will with the customer base. It's not like those customers were going to run out and buy the games being offered with new versions going out. I already had LBP and wasn't really enthused about wipeout or infamous (although I added them just in case). Going with 30 days of Plus to check it out.

Instead of even a few hundred uhappy customers everyone is now thumbs up.

And Jihad: real mature. Seriously. Nice to see you bring your smacktard console self everywhere.

Valve used to do weird end time stuff on the Steam sales, and the forums would have half a dozen morons who sat there til the last minute and then missed it. Now they put a timer on all their sales so people know exactly how much time is left.

Children need to be hustled into getting things done, adults should have a clue and take care of things in a timely manner.

Also, as soon as you said, "Seriously, this is why I like Xbox Live", this post lost all credibility as a thing worth reading.


Finally, if rumors are to believed, Sony has extended Welcome Back to 9pm PST on 7/4. I'm away from home, so I can't speak to that personally.

Nah, I have grabbed infamous and that d/led but my LBP failed to d/l at the start of this promo and is no where to be seen. Nothing shows that I d/led it or bought it or anything. And my option for d/ling a second game disappeared weeks ago. So yeah, it sucks. Even d/ling infamous took over a day as the server kept crashing from everyone loading the freebies.
