Sony ebook Reader looks pretty cool

I'm waiting for it to come out and for the reviews to show up before I consider buying one, but it looks nice.

I agree I was looking for something like this awile ago and couldn't find one I liked. I'm tired of paper books I'd rather get them off the internet or on a flash card.

Do any respectable, high quality electronics manufacturers have something similar? If not, I'll wait. The thing probably comes with PC drivers which install a rootkit :laugh:

I can do all that and more with my PDA for a smaller price, albeit on a smaller screen.

In my eyes, it isnt worth upgrading to ebooks until they offer something above and beyond standard books - full color, integrated dictionary, web access, selectable fonts, video/animation/flash ability etc etc

Why would I pay $500 for something like this?
