my point is the lack of slowdowns has nothing to do with 60 FPS, and everything to do with a better designed game. if it was running at 30 fps last year, there would not be slowdowns at all.

Can someone mention what exclusives announced by Sony look good? All i've heard so far is Haze and UT3, and after looking at the wording it appears they are both timed exclusives. Looking over the details for Haze it has a lot of potential, but with all the good games coming out, I wouldn't get around to playing it until next year anyway. I'm not planning on buying UT3.

IMO, all the good exclusives for Sony are the first party games. Starting next month they'll have a nice stream of releases coming.

I'm about sick and tired of the word exclusive. That's all we console guys have to throw back and forth nowadays, huh? I don't care what is exclusive and what isn't. I'll deal with anything that comes out only on the PS3, and if I can't deal with it, then I'll buy a damned PS3. It's that simple.

Why does everyone have to sit on a side of the fence? Join me in the middle. 😀

With that said, I'll most likely be buying a PS3 so I can play MGS4 early next year.

Oh, I dont know, maybe because its probably the single most obvious point to make when discussing the differences between systems?

Not everyone can afford both systems as well - I sure as hell can't drop $900 on two systems before even buying a single game, so it is actually quite a pertinent topic.

And besides, its just a discussion anyway...its a console forum where consoles will be discussed...wtf do you expect? I assure you if you're sick of hearing the word exclusive now, this entire forum is a biohazard to you.

Yes, there will be. You will be able to store trophies and life-size (in Home at least) figures at your dwelling inside Home.

Home is due October 4, so less than 3 moths.

I can afford both systems easily. But I won't get them both without a damn good reason. The only damn good reason to get a PS3 is a significant number of games that I want to play, but can't on the 360 that I already own.

Let's face it, as a gaming console, the 360 and ps3 are pretty even. For the people that are unwilling to spend a grand on consoles, not including any $60 games, they have to decide which one they want. The only sensible deciding factor is which one has the games you most want to play. Thus, exclusives are probably the most important factor in console gaming right now.

that is because sony never sent SAS squad at E3 to tweak the game for Cell. Sony does that all time with all major EA title. Problem was the whole division was at killzone office.

Sony problem is that half the game showed is coming in 2008 and Microsoft hasn't revealed the 2008 lineup because they want to show at X07 which will case all the 2008 and 2009 title.


Sony doesn't have one Tripple AAA RPG coming out this year which is amazing as Sony strength was RPG. Here Microsoft owns as they got Blue dragon , Lost odyssey , mass and Mass effect which all 1st party life time exclusive rpg as Microsoft owns the ip.
