SONY DW-D22A Black DVD Burner ON Sale $60.99

just a warning on the sony drive, i'm on my 2nd replacement from newegg for the same problem, it would stop recognising cd media (cd-rom, cd-r, cd-rw), and reading on some forums, i'm not the only person who's had the problem. the sony drive is actually a rebadged lite-on, it's not a true sony drive.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with a drive being a lite-on. Best in the biz IMO. The only thing I'd be pissed at is to pay the Sony premium for a lite-on drive whereas if you do your homework and find another rebadger, you'd pay less for the same drive.

The retail sony drive is also a lite-on which costs around $30-40 more than a retail lite-on. lol.

Does anyone know if this is the shorter style ???

What I was told is sony and lite-on make a shorter drive for a micro atx case ???

I appreciate any help / info ..🙂
