I have a friend whos DVD drive that will, annoyingly, only burn .iso files, as oppose to just files, as Nero Express allows you to.
There have been no software changes that I'm aware of, or that they have made me aware of, there's no games published by Kochmedia so Starfarce isn't causing issue (Pretty sure there's no games what so ever, infact).
Apparently it's done it before, and reinstalling Nero resolved the issue, but it is not helping this time.
Apparently the machine bluescreened part way through a CD burn a few days ago, but no note of the STOP code was made.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the drive is semi-dead, would that be a correct assumption do you think?
I have located some firmware, but I don't want to risk totally killing it if possible, would it be worth trying anyway?
