Sony DVD-ROM and Passmark Performance Test

XP Home, sp2, SATA HD, Asus P4P800-E Deluxe, 512 of Crucial DDR PC3200, 800mhz. I ran the Passmark Performance test on my computer yesterday, and the entire system showed up very fast with the exception of my DVD-ROM. This drive is master, alone on the primary IDE, and is at DMA 2. Passmark score was: READ : 2.8, CD Mark: 141.0. Comparing this to the benchmark systems, it seems very slow, but in actual use I don't really notice any slowness. Maybe I'm just too used to it. My questions are--- What type of CD should be in the drive for the test? I tried two, one with music (even slower, and one with data files (scores as stated). I don't have the box or documents that came with the drive, so don't remember its speeds. If anyone is using this drive, maybe you coul;d tell me if this is normal. Thanks.
