Hi,

debating these two camera...
I've seen both of them in stores, but haven't have a chance to take a photo and put on computer..
first impression to the T1 is the LCD is HUGE(2.5"), Z40's LCD is also huge(2.0") and seems a little more professional cuz the len will go back and forth when zooming.

I wonder why T1's lens doesn't have to move back and forth, does it mean it doesn't have optical zoom?(cuz digital zoom is math, not as good as optical zoom, i guess)

hmm,, if u were me, which one will u get? I use the camera mostly for travelling and take photos in parties..

I have a Nikon CoolPix 3100 3.2MP camera, I am satisfy with the pictures it take only when it is dark(at night). Where there is sunlight, the quality of photos seem to fade.

ya, any suggestions? I am no expert at all. I just use digital camera for fun, ... :)

I don't know much about camera, but the lens in the 2 you mentioned are in different technology.

Sony T1's lens is a Carl Zeiss one while the Casio's isn't, maybe that's why the one in Sony doesn't go back and forth.

I would choose Sony T1 as it has better specs, but memory stick is very expensive.

BTW why you post this here? You may get more info in dpreview.com , more user reviews on DC.
