Sony DSC-S85 Digital Camera Compatible Memory

If I were to buy a Sony DSC-S85 digi cam then what kind of memory will it accept. Does the memory have to be sony branded? THanks

unfortunately yes!

it does not have to be sony branded. but it has to be "memory stick" type flash memory. no compact flash, smart media, or mmc\sd

must be memory stick. it's a bit more expensive than compact flash. smart media i think is about the same.

you can buy sony or lexar. i don't know of any other maker for memory sticks.
