Sony DRU 500A vs DRU500AX question

From what I can see the difference between these 2 drives are the software bundle and out of box support for DVD+R recording at 4X which the DRU 500A can do after a firmware update. Is that it and does anyone know if the differences in the software bundle are significant enough to wait for the 500AX?
