www.4ASearch.com, i dont see the purpose in addressing people as "junior". sounds a bit patronizing to me, and i dont think anyone likes it.
and that player you linked to is a piece of crap. read forum posts on it at mp3.com and mp3car.com from people who own the product, and you'll see why. it has problems operating in heat/humid conditions, such as a car during the summer, its battery life is only decent, and most of all its mp3 playback functions are extremely limited. I personally won't by any player that doesn't support id3 tags. it's not worth the
the sony player doesn't have mp3 playback, but its cd playback is impeccable. the justification for its high price is his extremely high quality audio(not all cd audio playback mechanisms are created equal), its long battery life, and its very small size and low weight. it is also crafted very well, unlike the mp3trip, which feels cheap and flimsy.
now, for $87 the mp3trip i suppose is cheap enough to give a shot, but it's definitely not worth any more than that. for example, I was overseas this summer, and was able to purchase a portable combination mp3player/vcd player for about $65.. no id3 either on this unit, but when you hooked it up to a tv (which youd probably do often anyway to play vcds), it would show mp3 filenames on the tv.
im my opinion though, you guys should just forget about the sony cd player AND the mp3trip, and get yourself a quality MD unit. you get rerecordable media, battery life that beats everything (including cd players, mp3 cd players, and solid state mp3 players), size that beats cd players and is comparable to solid state mp3 players, and to top it off, you get cd quality recording, which you dont get with anything else.
