Sony Desktop RB30

I have a Sony VAIO desktop RB30 and i want to upgrade my video card with
PNY GeFroce 6600 8x AGP 256MB DDR Video Card with VGA+DVI+HDTV/S-Video Outputs

Does anybody know if it is going to work?

Are you sure it uses AGP? All the links I have seen from googling it seem to point to PCI-E. Perhaps I am looking at the wrong model.

Is there anything else I should lbe aware of before I get it?, I just wnat to make sure it works,

doesn't sound like it, you just might have to disable onboard video once you install the card.

Don't waste the money on the 512mb version, the core is too slow to make use of it. The 256mb version is cheaper and just as quick.

Can you tell me more about the disabling ?

The reason I want to upgrade my video card is beacuse i recently bought a LCD display

and i want to take advantage of the DVI-D connection. am i going to see a big difference between analog and digital?
