Hello,
I recently installed a Sony HT-DDW900 5.1 system in my home. I have Cablevision Digital cable through a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200HD, using the digital coax out into the DDW900 receiver. The problem I am having is the change in volume levels between different channels. I will adjust the volume for one channel, then when I change to a different channel, the volume will be louder or softer. It's as if there is no normalization of the volume going on.
I also have the same Scientific Atlanta 4200HD box downstairs connected by digital coax out to a Yamaha RX-V495 receiver and KLH 5.1 speakers with an Optimus 100W powered subwoofer. I do not notice a fluctuation in the volume level when watching TV on this setup. Can anyone tell me how to normalize the volume through the Sony? Thanks!
