Fry's Electronics has what I believe to be the Sony Model D-EJ915 CD Player on sale (They don't put the model number in their ad). It was the smallest and lightest CD Player at its time of release (Nov. 1999).

It's running for only $99.99. I bought it in December with multiple rebates (800.com and Microsoft Passport) for $136. Use the special Sony 10% Rebate for even more off.

(I don't know if Sony is rebating cash back, I think it may just be Sony points. It says nothing about 10% cash back on their Sony credit card offer page.)

I know. I'm not sure how they can sell it for that cheap. I love the one I got, it's well worth $99. It was worth the price I paid.

This model has a list price of $249.95. The model above has a list price of $399.95. It's the 15th Anniversary Model (D-EJ01) with a slot in loading design!

nero supports writing cd-text. now you just need to make sure your drive does too. I like the way nero handles it because it actually sets that part aside in the properties of each song, and gives you a part of the "write" dialogue to enter cd-title and artist for cd-text info. :D

the esasiest, in terms of doing cd text, is adaptec easy cd creator 4. I only use that because nero doesn't do cdtext with my burner

loogie, your burner is L A M E ! ! :D hehehe

I know what you mean. adaptec won't even recognize my damn tdk 12/10/32 burner.. seems each program has its own set of illogical rules and its own personality. I get the feeling that if I put my drive in my friend's comp, and put on adaptec, it will work-just to prove me wrong. :D

that said... damn... had I not just dropped over a hundred on an antec sx1030b a few minutes ago (please let them ship...), I might have gotten this player... :)
