If its in good shape then it should be fine but im not sure if its immune from the infamous brightness problem some Sony models are known for, this page has more info: http://www.hutzelman.com/home/hardware/mods/monitor/
They dont mention the E450 there but for example my cousin has a 19" Sony G400 with the same brightness problem,it's not his main PC so he's not worried about it, but for graphics work it would be unacceptable.
Sony FS tubes are pretty much the best. The brightness problem is no big deal at all - just open up the back and add a 1/2 watt resistor in parallel to the flyback controller circuit.
Done it to lots of older Sonys in the office/lab and at home 🙂
Well im not worried about these problems, since i assume the warranty would cover premature "defects" like that? Only thing i want from this monitor is that it holds up at least 2-3 years in relatively good condition until the LCDs get a bit better.
