Thanks wasamicron for a good lead. This drive is not instock in my area at Staples.com so I stopped by a brick and mortar store today to pick up one of these drives. When I got there, I found that the price has dropped by $10. I bought a pack of the free after rebate CDRs to get my total up to $100 then used one of the instore $20-off coupons to get a very good price on a nice drive:

the drive u purchased is CRX160E which is not listed on the qualify rebate ... so .. ummm i don't know about it ...

Watch out...the offer for the the bonus kit for Sony states:

"Offer valid June 1, 2001 through October 31, 2001 on the eligible notebook accessories. Product purchased before or after these dates are not eligible for the offer.
