I just wanted to refresh this in case folks missed it. Sony had some serious issues with CCDs in both video and still cameras. There is a settlement that involves shipping the affected device back to Sony for repair. The window ends in Oct. 2007.

CCD Settlement

I turned on my VX2100 this weekend to video a performance for a Winterguard. My blue CCD had failed. I should have a shipping label on the way.
