Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR4 good?

Is the Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR4 any good? It's from 07, but it from the reviews, it was the top of the line. How does it compare to todays TV's? They had a special where they were selling it for $999.99 w/ a free blueray player.
 
Where did you see one? The XBR4s were over-engineered and were considerably better than a xbr6 and some later models. Once calibrated those looked fantastic. The 120hz implimentation from back then isnt as smooth if you like that sort of thing, I would leave it off on any tv anyways.
 
I saw it at the sony outlet. HOwever, my gf just informed me that they are refurbs. I am more worried about what it would look like under SD conditions. I have FIOS, but I am moving to a non FIOS area in a month..... From what I read, this is the worst in that regard, but the HD is pretty wow.

I am going to consider getting it if they do not skimp on the warranty.

It's between this and a 46" $799 Toshiba model they are trying to get rid of at Best Buy.
