I don't have the TV model off hand, it's a 32" Samsung, the entry level one with 2 HDMI's. It's about 1.5 years old. I'm assuming there's something wrong with the TV but I'll ask here. I plug the BR into HDMI 1, when I turn it in the screen shows the Sony Blue Ray logo and after a few seconds it says no signal. When I plug the HDMI cable into HDMI 2 and go into inputs it keeps flashing and isn't selectable. Tried the player and it works fine on my monitor.
I don't have any other HDMI devices I can hook to the TV to see what's causing the problem. I'm tempted to tell her to get a different BR player, but if a 2nd doesn't work she'll probably give up trying here. Anything I could try? All Google's turning up is to unplug the power from both for 30 seconds, needless to say that didn't help. ALso tried pressing home+top menu+stop or whatever the manual says to set to lowest resolution. When I turn it on and the Sony logo comes up it's saying 1280x720/60p.
