Sony announces RX100 VI

Looks nice....... have a M2 version of this camera

Anyone know if the 4k video shooting is time limited like earlier models? (e.g. only allow 5 minutes of shooting at a time)
This type of thing always tells me to wait since it is likely a heat issue along with a high power drain.

The lens is quite a nice step up.

Thanks - I'll wait to see what next model after this brings
I really like the new lens; but Sony needs to address the 4k recording time limitation.

RX100 M2 is still performing well; so I can wait........

$1200 for a superzoom P&S? The mkV at $950 is already way stretching it.

Yeah, the ridiculous price coupled with the slower lens (on the short end at least) makes it a no go for me. I get the benefits of the longer range and the reasons they cannot make it as fast in such a small amount of space, but I thought they already had cameras that covered the semi-superzoom area. My hopes were for basically a RX100 mV with a touchscreen for a similar price. My omd em5 touchscreen gets a LOT of use.

Yea sony is just milking it now. Add a few minor features here and there and jack up the price. The flip up and TS could've been added in the V. Not like these are brand new tech.
