Sony A700 version 4 firmware is coming...allows elimination of all noise reduction on RAW files

Some guy on DPReview (Sony DSLR forum) found the firmware while digging around the Sony site and posted the link. The new firmware finally allows you to turn off noise reduction completely as opposed to just putting it on "Low", and they've added a new bracketing setting, presumably to aid those doing HDR.

I haven't checked in the last several hours -- there might be several more changes that people have discovered. :)

Awesome for Alpha owners. Makes me wish I had one to play around with.

It's a good camera & I've got no regrets but the D90 looks like it may be the mid-range DSLR of the moment (hard to say when no one has one).
Of course the a700 is probably due for replacement shortly, PMA anyone?

Link dead. :( Can someone who downloaded the file PM it to me?

EDIT: Thanks Heidfirst!

Does the A700 have 5/7 frame bracketing?

Just checked mine, and that's correct. Maximum range prior to the firmware change was 5 frames at 0.7EV steps.
